Stratos Aviation is an award-winning FAA Part 61 flight school and Cirrus Training Center located at Columbia Metropolitan Airport (KCAE) in West Columbia, SC, and Greenville Downtown Airport (GMU) in Greenville, SC. Founded by award-winning instructor Dimitri Partafyllas, Stratos offers training for Private Pilot, Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot, and CFI/CFII certificates, as well as Cirrus-specific training, rotary-to-fixed-wing transitions, and instruction for foreign students. The school has earned the AOPA Outstanding Flight School award and Flight Training Experience Awards.
